The Co-creation Process

At UNDO, our focus is on our values. But how did we choose them and what do they mean?

We authored our values by conducting a series of internal workshops, championed by individuals from various levels within the organisation, in a true display of a bottom-up approach. The goal was to construct a culture that resonates with the aspirations of the people living it daily. 

These workshops gave our leadership team insights into the organisation’s core nature, enabling them to give the necessary strategic direction. This collaborative process, bridging leadership and the team, led to a robust set of values that are organically driven by those who embody them every day.

However, the journey to being a leading global ERW company requires flexibility, agility and a relentless drive to surpass our own achievements. UNDO prides itself on its internal company culture with a hands-on approach to collaborating with farmers, academic institutions and the local communities we work in. We encourage our team to partake in volunteering initiatives they care about by providing three days of paid leave each year. There is a reason why our recent employee engagement survey highlighted the success of our people-first approach, with 100% of UNDO’s team expressing pride in our mission-driven work.

Our approach is firmly rooted in science, ensuring that we create replicable and permanent carbon removal. Integrity, open communication and transparency remain central to how we do our work.

This is exemplified during our Town Halls every other month. Whether discussing who we should partner with, company direction or brand strategy, every UNDO team member has a voice that is respected and heard. In addition to incorporating culture-led discussion at every stage, we have a dedicated values interview as part of our hiring process, where candidates engage in a two-way conversation with at least two cross-functional peers. This stage is more than an interview; it’s an exploration of how our values can be lived in different, innovative ways.
